University of North Carolina South Building
Chapel Hill, North Carolina
This major renovation of the four story UNC South Administrative Building, which houses executive office space for the University Chancellors and their staff, (approximately 24,000 square feet) took place primarily on the second and third floors and included all new electrical and mechanical systems, rework of fire protection systems, and minor plumbing rework. Additionally, the project included building-wide HVAC improvements, such as chilled water piping, pump upgrades and the addition of a new make-up air conditioning unit to provide conditioned ventilation air and pressurization for the entire building. A feasibility study and design was completed for potential ADA upgrades in the basement.
Project Cost: $750,000
